Saphira Linden’s Unique Transpersonal Approach to Integrating Drama Therapy and Psychodrama: An All Day Workshop
This one day workshop serves as an introduction to how to integrate the related fields of Drama Therapy and Psychodrama in professional therapeutic and educational work and for personal growth. We will use a transpersonal approach with a variety of action techniques and exercises from both traditional and contemporary models of Drama Therapy and Psychodrama. This day long workshop will be mostly experiential learning. At the core of this professional body of work is a rich and deep understanding of how creativity and creative process builds an integrative foundation for healing, transformation, mind-body psychology and human development.
1. Learn twelve principles of an approach to Transpersonal Drama Therapy and Psychodrama.
2. Learn how to apply these principles and case examples to specific populations, with whom the participants are working.
3. Learn how to easily integrate Psychodrama and Drama Therapy within the larger Creative Arts Therapy field for different populations.
Saphira Barbara Linden, RDT/BCT, TEP, LCAT, Director of a training program in Boston in Drama Therapy and Psychodrama for 18 years, will demonstrate her transpersonal approach which is reflected in her award-winning book, THE HEART AND SOUL OF PSYCHOTHERAPY: A TRANSPERSONAL APPROACH THROUGH THEATER ARTS, 2013, Trafford Publishers.
