This workshop is intended to introduce students to quantitative analysis in the social sciences. The topics to be covered include: the postulates of science, the scientific method, survey research, sampling, hypothesis-testing, concept operationalization, univariate analysis, bivariate analysis, inferential statistics, and measures of association. 

In this workshop you will have the opportunity to practice doing analysis for yourself. The workshop will be conducted in the lab and we will walk you through several analyses using SPSS.

If you are new to quantitative research or are looking for a refresher, this is the workshop for you.
