Framing the New Inequality: The Politics of Redistribution in Canada.

In honour of Canada's 150th birthday, Dr. Banting, Stauffer Dunning Fellow and Professor Emeritus in the School of Policy Studies and the Department of Political Studies at Queen's University, will explore the question of inequality and redistribution in the Canadian context.

Our democracy, like many other advanced industrial democracies today, is undergoing great pressure as a result of global economic and societal changes. But has Canadian public policy succeeded in keeping up with these changes? And what have been the political factors  shaping Canada‚Äôs response to rising inequality? Dr. Banting will explore these issues, paying particular attention to the federal election of 2015.

Join us on May 25th, and find out!

Participation is open to everyone, but you must register to attend.
