Honourable Michael Chong
Member of Parliament and Former Cabinet Member

What can we do to make the House of Commons a more democratic institution? And how can we make it more representative of our interests?

In this one-day workshop, Conservative MP and former Cabinet Minister, Michael Chong, provides his take on these matters.

More specifically, in this workshop, Michael Chong will outline the impact of his successful Private Member’s Bill, The Reform Act – a Bill that aims to rebalance the power between party leaders and MPs  – and the rationale behind his legislation.
