Peter Carey, Lyn Heward, Terry O’Reilly and Jian Ghomeshi will weigh in on what it means to create.

Ever wondered what Jian Ghomeshi really thinks about the future of music? You’ll soon have the chance to find out.

The CBC Radio Q host is among those slated to take part in Thinking Out Loud — Concordia’s second annual national conversation series — this March. Co-hosted with The Globe and Mail, it will feature four live conversations that explore different aspects of the creative process.

Each talk will pair one of the university’s leading researchers with a public figure for an exchange moderated by a top Globe and Mail journalist. All the events are free and open to the public.

In addition to Ghomeshi, the line-up includes Terry O’Reilly, the host of CBC Radio’s Under the Influence; Lyn Heward, former director of creation at the Cirque du Soleil; and two-time Booker Prize-winning author Peter Carey.

They will examine what, exactly, it means to create. Why do we love music? How does media overload affect our lives? What does it take to put together a show? Where do writers find inspiration? These are just some of the questions Thinking Out Loud aims to address.

Space is limited, so register today to join the conversation!
