South Africa sends army to counter anti-immigration violence

Following a wave of anti-immigrant violence in South Africa that has resulted in the death of at least seven people, South Africa’s Defence Minister, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, has deployed troops into ‘volatile areas,’ including the Johannesburg district of Alexandria.
