Welcome to Le Centre at the PERFORM Centre. The Department of Recreation and Athletics and the PERFORM Centre are proud to welcome you to Le Centre, a conditioning program that offers a unique opportunity to get fit in an environment dedicated to improving health through prevention.
About Le Centre
Le Centre is a conditioning program offered at the PERFORM Centre, a facility with an unparalleled approach to promoting health through a combination of research, education and community engagement. It offers a large variety of equipment to train on, innovative individual conditioning programs, a healthy weight program, and small group training.
Register anytime between 6:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the PERFORM Centre reception desk.
PERFORM Centre personnel will be on site to help you with any questions you may have, to orient you to what is available, and to show you how the conditioning centre equipment works.
The Conditioning Floor features high-quality, well-maintained exercise equipment including free weights, stretching areas and a four-lane walking track.
Community health programs that take place on the Conditioning Floor are overseen by certified fitness professionals as well student floor monitors from the Department of Exercise Science.
The Technogym™ line of exercise equipment available to participants includes:
- Fifty pieces of cardio equipment
- Two complete lines of selectorized weight-training equipment, of which one is wheelchair adaptable
- Full spectrum of free weights
- Kinesis training system
All these machines are tied in to software that allows researchers to track exercise results and look for performance improvements.
The PERFORM Centre is located at 7200 Sherbrooke St. W.
The PERFORM Centre is close to several bus stops: 51, 105, 123 and 162. These buses link directly to the Villa Maria and Vendôme Metro stations. The Montreal West commuter train station is one block away.
There are many bicycle racks available right in front of the main entrance.
The Concordia shuttle bus* (see schedule) is a fast and convenient way to travel from the Sir George Williams campus to the PERFORM Centre.
The PERFORM Centre is wheelchair-accessible.
