Southern Asia Studies degree requirements

Total of 42 credits

  • 6  credits required in first year: HIST 261; RELI 215
  • 3  credits chosen from any relevant course in the Department of History
  • 3  credits chosen from any relevant course in the Department of Political Science
  • 6  credits chosen from any relevant courses in the Department of Religions and Cultures
  • 24 credits chosen from relevant courses in any department including but not limited to History; Religions and Cultures; Political Science; Classics, Modern Languages and Linguistics; Economics; English; Geography, Planning and Environment; Sociology and Anthropology; the Faculty of Fine Arts; and the John Molson School of Business. Students may also request credits for Southern Asia related courses (including language) taught at other Quebec universities.

 

Total of 24 credits

  • 6 required credits: HIST 261; RELI 215
  • 3 credits chosen from any relevant course in the Department of History, Political Science, Economics or English
  • 6 credits chosen from any relevant courses in the Department of Religions and Cultures
