Hillel Cohen, winner of the J.I. Segal Award in Israel Studies

The Azrieli Institute of Israel Studies is proud to announce Dr. Hillel Cohen as the winner of the third biennial competition for the Azrieli Institute Prize for Best Book in Israel Studies in English or French. The competition is organized under the auspices of the J.I. Segal Awards of the Jewish Public Library.

The book,Year Zero of the Arab-Israeli Conflict 1929, was published by Brandeis University Press for the Schusterman Series in Israel Studies, can be purchased from your local bookstore.

Dr. Cohen is Associate Professor at the Department of Islam and Middle East Studies and head of the Cherrick Center for the Study of Zionism and the State of Israel at the Hebrew University.

The awards ceremony will take place at the Jewish Public Library on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 7:30 pm.
