OUR MISSION

We study cognitive and language development in infants and young children.

Young children learn about objects and people in the world around them at a surprisingly early age. They also learn new words very quickly. How children manage these tasks and the strategies they use is the focus of our research.

Research topics

There are four major topics in our research:

1. Early Categorization Skills

2. The Development of Selective Social Learning

3. Lexical Development in Bilingual and Monolingual Infants

4. Developmental Origins of a Theory of Mind
