Honourable Stockwell Day, Former President of the Treasury Board Principle at Stockwell Day Connex

Stockwell Day served in the Progressive Conservative government of Alberta in a variety of senior roles from 1986 to 2000, namely Chief Whip, Government House Leader, Minister of Labour, Minister of Social Services, and Provincial Treasurer.

In 2000, he won the leadership of the Canadian Alliance and became Leader of Canada's Official Opposition. His party merged with the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada to form the federal Conservative Party of Canada.

In 2006, Mr. Day became Minister of Public Safety and member of the Cabinet Committee on Priorities and Planning. In 2008, he was appointed Minister of International Trade, and Chair of the Cabinet Committee on Afghanistan. He was also appointed President of the Treasury Board in 2010.

Mr. Day is now building on 25 years of experience in developing public policy and procedures to assist businesses, organizations and individuals with his consulting firm, Stockwell Day Connex. He assists them in creating strategies and providing analysis on political and economic developments locally and globally. Mr. Day is a regular television commentator and international speaker, and presides as Director on a number of boards and agencies.
