How to Apply

To be considered for admission, it is essential that your application to the Graduate Diploma in Journalism or to the Visual Journalism is complete and that all documents reach us by the stated deadlines. Your documents must include
1. a letter of intent (approximately 600 words), outling your background, work experience, and desire to be a journalist;
2. three letters of reference (2 must be from academic sources);
3. official transcripts.
Incomplete applications will not be accepted. For all applicants, the deadline for all documents is Jan. 15th of the year in which the applicant seeks admission to the program (e.g., January 15, 2016 for entry in June, 2016). Please note that a minimum GPA of 3.0 is required for admission (based on Concordia's 4.3 grading system).

TOEFL/IELTS Admission Requirements

Applicants whose prior degrees are not from an English-speaking university are required to submit TOEFL or IELTS scores. The minimum TOEFL iBT score required is 90 (with a minimum of 20 on the written test) or 6.5 for IELTS (with no part under 6.5).

TOEFL and IELTS scores are valid for up to two years after the test date.
