Here is the follow ing new undergraduate course for the Winter Semester:

ENGL 498L/4  AA         Research Methods in Canadian Literary Print Culture and Book History

Professor:  Daniel O'Leary

Monday 18:00-20:15

Prerequisite:  9 credits at the 300 level in English literature or permission of the department

                                                                                                       

Jonathan Sachs, Associate Professor in the English department, was recently named as a fellow of the National Humanties Center (US). Sachs is the first professor at Concordia to win this prestigious and competitive award. During his time at the NHC, Sachs will work to complete his new book on "Decline and the Depths of Time in British Romanticism." For more details see the press release issued by the NHC:

Jonathan Sachs, Associate Professor in the English department, was recently awarded an FRQSC Soutien aux équipes de recherche grant as the Principal Investigator of the Interacting with Print Research Team. Over the next four years, Sachs and the other members of the team will continue their longstanding engagement with questions about how changes in our contemporary media landscape help us better to understand past interactions with media forms, especially the culture of print.
