PhD student, Sebastian Döderlein's paper, "Not so Republican after all: Expectations and Disappointments in Alsace-Lorraine before and after November 11, 1918," has just been named the winner of the 2015 Natalie Zemon Davis Graduate Student Award for the best paper presented by a graduate student at the the Society for French Historical Studies Society’s annual meeting.

This is the second time in the seven-year history of the Davis Prize that a Concordia PhD student has won it. The only other university to equal this has been the University of Chicago.
