Moodle is a course management system that provides a web-based interface for posting materials to supplement courses and foster collaboration, activities, and critical reflection.

In this intensive workshop lead by both CTL and IITS staff, participants will set up and customize one Moodle course with their own documents, links and resources. In the first part of the course, the presenter will show a sample Moodle course and talk about the different ways of using Moodle to facilitate and manage your course, engage students in small group discussions, share content, and manage and grade assignments online. Following this, IITS staff will lead hands-on step-by-step training to help you to set up your site and add appropriate activities and resources to your course. Staff will be available throughout the workshop to work one-on-one with participants as they customize their own course.

The goal of this session is to have a Moodle site student-ready by the end of the day.

Participants should bring their own laptops and all required  digital materials for their course, which includes: syllabus, assignment descriptions, resources, course activities, etc.
