The Department of Education at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, invites applications for one limited-term appointment in Educational Studies/Adult Education.
Applicants must be able to teach courses in the broad areas of adult education, philosophy of education, sociology of education, and international/comparative education.
Preference would be given to applicants with the completed Ph.D. in Adult Education and/or Educational Foundations discipline (ABD will also be considered ). Other desirable assets include expertise in adult education internship programs, indigenous and decolonial perspectives, knowledge of the Quebec Education Program (QEP), prior university teaching experience, and a working knowledge of French.
Successful candidates for this position must also demonstrate a willingness and ability to adapt course offerings to online formats as needed.

This position is subject to budgetary approval and department/unit need. Individuals holding limited-term appointments may be granted a subsequent appointment, given continued funding and need, as well as satisfactory job performance. Together, initial appointments and subsequent appointments may not exceed 36 months or a span of three consecutive years. Applicants are normally at the rank of Lecturer (ABD) or Assistant Professor (completed Ph.D.), beginning August 1, 2020, and ending May 14, 2021. Successful candidates will normally be expected to teach three courses per semester. Candidates applying for a subsequent appointment are considered first.
