A singular cataclysmic event—the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami—illustrates the connectedness of all things. From an escort in Thailand to a Catholic priest in India, this play asks “what happens when the events that tie us together are the same that tear us apart?”
The author, David Yee, is a Toronto playwright whose previous play, lady in the red dress was a finalist for the Governor-General’s Literary Award. He is a playwright-in-residence at the Tarragon Theatre and Artistic Director of fu-GEN Asian Canadian Theatre Company.
The evening will begin with a wine and cheese reception at which a member of the creative team will provide background and insight about the production.
