One happy family—Mom, Dad, four smiling children. You can’t see the secrets, but Jan knows they are there. Names that don’t make sense; a sister who one day disappears. About Jan Gregory

Jan Gregory

Jan Gregory

Jan Gregory spent her early professional years in children’s theatre dramatizing local legends of England. Since coming to Canada, Jan became a founding member of the Montreal Guild of Story Tellers which hosted the first National Conference of Storytellers, and has continued to perform at festivals and conferences across Canada, to lead workshops, and to tell extensively in schools and at local venues here in Montreal.

Her passion for storytelling has led to involvement in a wide variety of projects: Christmas stories on the radio, a three day telling of the epic “Odyssey”, creating “Montreal Mosaic”, a celebration of Montreal’s 350th anniversary with story, music and dance, telling in a special series of stories about women at the NAC in Ottawa, and creating original pieces for different festivals: Voices From the Moors: the Brontes’ Story, Women’s Voices and Baba Tsganka Retold.
