Experienced vegetarian chef, caterer and teacher Gigi Cohen led the first Young Alumni vegetarian cooking class on March 9 in her own Café Harvard in NDG. With 15 alumni in attendance, she demonstrated several dishes: a raw carrot salad, sautéed vegetables over brown rice with tofu curry and a melon and mint dessert—thoroughly enjoyed by all. Gigi kept up an entertaining and informative commentary about healthy eating and the importance of vitamins and minerals for maintaining optimum health. This event is part of the Young Alumni program for graduates of the last 15 years.
