Vernissage: Eighth Annual Graduating Students Exhibition

Graduating Fine Arts student Chloé Beaulac, BFA 10, was awarded the 2010 Concordia University Alumni Association Purchase Prize for her diptych FANTASTIC PLASTIC! on June 23. CUAA prize committee member Marshall Johnson presented the award, valued at $1000, during the Fine Arts Graduating Students’ Exhibition vernissage at the VAV Gallery.

The two-piece FANTASTIC PLASTIC! features printed mountains of pattern and colour, arched over by a rainbow. It is composed of silkscreen and mixed techniques on St-Armand paper. Each piece measures 50.8 x 76.2 cm. One of three works by Chloé Beaulac accepted into the Graduating Students Exhibition, FANTASTIC PLASTIC! appeared in FOFA Gallery vitrines as part of the Graduating Students Exhibition.

The Graduating Students’ Exhibition showcases a cross-section of the many disciplines and research activities of Fine Arts students at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
