Accepted! Now what?
Getting Started
A great way for students to prepare for university is to start by reading through the Guide To First Year.
Academic Advising
Most programs require that new students receive academic advising and/or attend an orientation session before registering for classes. Advising procedures vary by program and can be found by consulting the Faculty websites. The procedures will also be outlined in the student’s Offer of Admission.
Frosh!
Every year at the start of the fall term, a series of new student or “Frosh” activities are held on campus. Attending Frosh is a great way to get to know one another — it’s also fun! Students can check with their Faculty student organization for the full list of Frosh activities:
- Arts & Science Federation of Student Associations (ASFA)
- Commerce and Administration Students’ Association (CASA)
- Engineering & Computer Science Association (ECA)
- Fine Arts Student Alliance (FASA)
Concordia Student Union Orientation
Every year the Concordia Student Union (CSU) organizes Orientation, two weeks jam-packed with fun activities and excitement at the start of the term. With barbecues, theme nights and concerts there is something for everyone to get excited about. The highlight of Orientation is a free concert. Orientation is open to all students with no sign-up required.
