Office of Student Recruitment
The Office of Student Recruitment (OSR) is here to support prospective students and their guidance counselors as students embark on the exciting journey of selecting a post-secondary institution. We here at the OSR strive to ensure that counselors and students are properly equipped with all the information, assistance and support they need to make an appropriate decision. We also strive to maintain excellent working relationships with counselors so that they can best advise students of the opportunities Concordia offers them.
Recruitment Visits and Events
Many of you may have met representatives from our office out on the road at educational fairs or individual school visits. One of the best parts of our job is getting out in the field and meeting prospective students and the amazing staff that support them through their scholastic decisions.
The Concordia recruitment team regularly does presentations at schools as well as attends information kiosks at fairs. If you should wish to arrange a school visit or to have representatives attend a university or college fair, please contact one of our representatives. It would be our pleasure to meet with you and your students and talk about the Concordia experience.
To view our scheduled events and visits, please consult our online recruitment schedule.
Campus and Group Tours
Personalized Tours
Tours are offered year-round to interested students, parents and friends. Our guided visits are led by current Concordia students, giving guests the advantage of asking about student life at Concordia and in Montreal in general. Tours take place Monday to Friday, and depending on participant interest can cover both campuses. When booking, guests are encouraged to specify which programs are of interest to them so that specific information can be included in the tour. Prospective students also have the opportunity when booking to request an individual advising session with a general interviewer to answer any specific questions they may have. It is important to note, however, that advising times are limited and require advanced notice.
Tours may be reserved either through Connect2Concordia, by emailing tours@concordia.ca or by phone with our Welcome Centre Coordinator at 514-848-2424 ext. 4779.
Group Tours
In addition to the tours led by current students, recruitment officers provide groups with formal presentations, highlighting the university and answering any particular admissions questions that come up. Group tours are tailored to the needs and wishes of the visitors, and our team is delighted to provide access to departmental representatives or advisors.
Tours may be reserved by emailing tours@concordia.ca or by phone with our Welcome Centre Coordinator at 514-848-2424 ext. 4779.
