Summary of fee changes

The University reserves the right to modify the published scale of tuition and other student fees without prior notice, at any time before the beginning of an academic term. This document contains the most current information on the University's Financial Regulations and Fees and is the authoritative document regarding the University's financial regulations as well as the billing of tuition and other fees.

F. Summary of fee changes effective 2012/2013

Tuition fees

Please be advised that the non-Quebec resident and International student forfaitaires rates will increase beginning with registrations for the 2012/2 fall term. These per-credit tuition increases are set by the Quebec government, not the university.

non-Quebec resident rate

increased from $195.27 to $196.71 per credit

(Canadian citizens, Canadian First Nations members and permanent Residents of Canada who do not meet the Quebec government's criteria for Quebec residency status)

International student rates


Arts & Science, Engineering and Computer Science, and Fine Arts programs

increased from $485.39 to $487.91 per credit

JMSB programs

increased from $651.33 to $656.81 per credit

PhD programs

increased from $435.85 to $438.08 per credit

Compulsory and miscellaneous fees

In addition, there are some changes to the compulsory and miscellaneous fees effective with the 2012/1 summer term.  The changes are outlined below.

Technology Infrastructure fee

increased from $4.49 to $4.60 per credit
