Concordia's non-credit program geared to older students
Education knows no age! The Senior Non-Credit Program is a unique option for those who wish to study at university for the pursuit of lifelong learning.
Without having to commit to course work or exams, students who audit courses through the Senior Non-Credit Program benefit from reduced tuition rates and will not receive a grade at the end of the course.
Prospective senior students can audit undergraduate-level courses, at the 200 or 300-levels. You may only register for lectures.
You may need department permission for some classes, depending on availability and required prerequisites.
Most courses that are available are offered through the Faculty of Arts and Science. Certain courses in the John Molson School of Business are available, with permission from the department.
For students interested in Fine Arts courses, you must first contact the instructor of an Art History (ARTH) or Film Studies (FMST) course for prior permission before contacting the Faculty's Academic Counselor who will enable the registration . Generally, only, Art History and Film Studies are permitted.
First, call the Senior Non-Credit Program office at 514-848-2424 ext. 3893 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and leave your name and contact information.
Then, when the admission period approaches, someone from the program will contact you to begin your application process and arrange a date for you to submit official documents in person at the Senior Non-Credit Program Office at 1250 Guy, FB 218-1 (Faubourg Building).
You will need to provide copies of documents that attest to your Canadian citizenship. These can be your birth certificate, passport or Canadian Citizenship card.
Once you arrive at the Senior Non-Credit Program office, you’ll also be asked to fill out an “Authorization to Register” form.
There is assistance in place for you if you need access to a computer or help registering for courses! Call 514-848-2424, ext. 3893 to make an appointment for this.
