Registration information

All newly-authorized Independent students may defer their initial registration for up to three years without having to submit a new application form, unless they have entered a program since their authorization was approved.

Returning Independent students in good academic standing may obtain registration on-line at MyConcordia.ca.

NOTE: Independent students wishing to apply to a degree or certificate program must submit an admission application. Credits acquired as an Independent student may subsequently be applied towards a degree or certificate where applicable; a maximum of 30 credits may be transferred towards a degree offered by the Faculty of Arts & Science.

The online Class Schedule and Registration Guide identifies the classes offered for the Summer/Fall/Winter academic year, along with registration procedures.

You must register using MyConcordia.ca portal.

MyConcordia Portal: You can obtain a class schedule, an examination schedule, view your student account, your student record and your grades by accessing MyConcordia.ca.

Students who do not have access to the internet may contact the IITS helpline at 514-848-2424 ext. 7613 to obtain the location of computers on campus that can be used to register for courses.

Financial Obligations: In order to register for courses, your student account must be in good standing. Students with overdue or delinquent accounts will not be permitted to register for courses until payment is received or until satisfactory payment arrangements have been made with the Student Accounts Office in H 541.

IT IS THE STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY TO BE AWARE OF ALL KEY DEADLINE DATES.

I.D. Card:
 Identification cards are necessary for routine identification while on university premises, and are also mandatory in order to write examinations, use the library facilities, board the shuttle bus, obtain any personal information from the Student Service Centre etc.

You must register for your courses a minimum of 24 hours before obtaining an ID card.

When having your ID card made, please bring:

  • one piece of photo identification (e.g. driver's license or medicare card)
  • your student ID number (You will find this on your acceptance letter, class schedule or student record)

Student I.D. Cards are made:

Monday to Thursday 
9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Fridays*
10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

*Please note that the Friday schedule may differ during the summer. 

A $11.50 fee for the Universal Card will be billed to your student account.

Classroom Information: Classroom assignments are available on the MyConcordia portal.
