Refectory
The Refectory building has been renovated to create the Loyola Jesuit Hall and Conference Centre, an important element in the revitalization of the Loyola Campus.
One of the original Loyola Campus buildings, the Refectory was built in the shape of a cross, with elegant dining halls, an infirmary, and a distinctive sundial on the south face. It has undergone some unfortunate renovations in its long history and is in disrepair, but the integrity of the building is intact and its many special features will reemerge after restoration. New facilities include an alumni centre, lounge space, a conference centre for large meetings, a kitchen, catering facilities, offices, and multipurpose meeting spaces, once again making this historic building an important gathering place for community and social events.
