This represents a full-time contract position effective until May 2014.

Scope

Reporting to the Manager, Facilities and Operations, PERFORM Centre, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating the smooth operations of the PERFORM Centre facility and all equipment as well as ensuring appropriate action. The coordinator will also provide preventative maintenance support in the Athletic Therapy Clinic, Functional Assessment and the Conditioning Room.

Primary responsibilities

  • Serve as liaison between the operations and administration and Concordia facilities operations.
  • Identify facility deficiencies and resolve as appropriate
  • Oversee and track regular maintenance and match repair of preventative visits to appropriate service contracts both within the University and external vendors.
  • Perform daily checks of all equipment and confirm maintenance utilizing the maintenance schedule provided by Techno-gym and the SWIMEX in the Athletic Therapy Clinic.
  • Track purchases and reconcile requisitions, purchase orders, packing slips, etc. to account expenses.
  • Coordinate deliveries, facility repairs, and continuing construction work with the appropriate University office or external provider.

Requirements

  • Diploma of College Studies (3 year technical program) in a related field pertinent to the primary responsibilities and two to four years of experience. Detailed knowledge of university policies, procedures and administrative functions an asset.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance schedule/requirements for Techno-gym and other equipment desirable.
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English (Level 4 in order to communicate effectively with internal and external members of the community. Knowledge of spoken and written French an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of Word and Excel (to create and format documents and spreadsheets).
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail, ability to work independently, set priorities and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated proactive attitude and problem solving skills.
  • High level of personal initiative, innovation and flexibility.

Salary

$25.43 – $30.64 per hour
