Scope

Reporting to the Human Resources Information Systems Manager, the incumbent assures the accuracy of position assignment, position evaluation and position profiles and conducts analysis of data and implements corrective measures

Primary responsibilities

  • Process position assignment and position evaluation and ensure accuracy of data.
  • Maintain and monitor statistical data required for the evaluation and design of positions.
  • Research, prepare and record data for stipend and special compensation requests.
  • Act as liaison with department administrators to ensure quality of process and information.
  • Initiate and conduct the analysis of data for the evaluation of Human Resources programs.
  • Investigate enquiries, assist in their resolution, correct data and generate alternative solutions.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Diploma of College Studies (3 year technical program) in a related field pertinent to the primary responsibilities and two to four years of experience preferably in Human Resources. Prior experience in a university environment is highly desirable.
  • Good knowledge of the University’s Human Resources Information System.
  • Good spoken and written English (Level 4) and basic spoken French (Level 3) in order to prepare documents and correspondence and to communicate effectively.
  • Good knowledge (Intermediate level) of Word, Excel, and Access (to create and format documents, forms and reports).
  • Team player and detail oriented
  • Accountability for own work.
  • Adaptable to change and open to new ideas.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Anticipate and prevent problems.

Salary

$25.43 – $30.64 per hour
