Scope

Reporting to the Director, IT Architecture, Security and Planning, the incumbent reviews current policies and develops Information Security and IT Security policies, directives and procedures.

Primary responsibilities

  • Perform IT security audit and lead vulnerability assessment and monitor audit corrective action plan; define IT security standards.
  • Monitor external technology security risks and review technology trends.
  • Develop a set of information security policies.
  • Build and maintain an information security awareness program.
  • Setup a security incident response team and review procedures on a yearly basis
  • Monitor IT security risks and produce reports (e.g. risk report, monthly dashboards)
  • Participate to solution architecture review and ensure security requirements are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and at least five years of related work experience.
  • Certified Security Professional certification (SSCP, CISSP, GIAC or other recognized security certification) desirable.
  • Knowledge of international security standards and best practices (ISO27001, FISMA) and of Quebec (“Loi sur la protection des renseignements personnels”) and Canadian law (Privacy Act, PIPEDA) highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Macintosh, UNIX and Linux system administration in a networked environment.
  • Knowledge of network technologies.
  • Discretion about IT security incidents.
  • Good spoken and written English and French (Level 4) to communicate effectively with members of the community.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a structured environment where teamwork is essential as well as work with various investigation bodies.
  • Capability to work under pressure while maintaining harmonious relations with co-workers.

Salary

$68,764.01 - $82,179.38 per annum
