Scope

Reporting to the Financial Business Process Manager, the incumbent assists the System Analyst in system administration and provides day-to-day Financial Systems support for end-users.

Primary responsibilities

  • Process interface files (load and troubleshoot) from users and other University systems.
  • Respond to daily user inquiries and identify user and reported system issues. Gather details and provide preliminary analysis to BPO and IITS.
  • Participate in the maintenance of system security user profiles.
  • Perform Financial Systems processes for Month end closings.
  • Perform analysis and monitor the data to ensure that the systems are synchronized (Banner and Millennium) and work with the users, BPO analysts and IITS to ensure the data is valid and accurate.
  • Assist IITS and users in testing of systems fixes, patches and updates.
  • Assist in year-end systems activities.
  • Act as a backup to the BPO Analysts.
  • Perform other tasks as required by the Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or any related field from an accredited institution and two to four years of work related experience.
  • Experience in supporting Sungard (Ellucian) Banner Financial and Millennium Computer Systems Applications.
  • Strong Knowledge of MS-Office applications and the Windows environment.
  • Good written and spoken English (Level 4) in order to give and understand complex explanations, hypothetical questions, or abstract ideas; basic spoken French (Level 3) and written French an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to work under pressure.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks and meet stringent deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work autonomously or as part of a team.
  • Dedication to providing exceptional customer service.

Salary

$57,922.98 - $69,223.33 per annum
