This is a full-time leave replacement position effective until May 10, 2013.

Scope

Reporting to the Manager, Student Mobility, the incumbent performs administrative and secretarial tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Office and acts as the Office’s first line of contact.

Primary responsibilities

  • Perform various office functions such as: preparation of letters, correspondence, filing, data entry, compilation of information for statistical purposes, and distribution of mail.
  • Prepare expense reports, purchase requisitions and other related documentation.
  • Assemble meeting dossiers and prepare meeting summaries.
  • Prepare promotional and admission packages for students and partner institutions and update documentation.
  • Provide administrative support for the students’ bursary process.
  • Oversee the production and annual revision of the Office publications.
  • Maintain the Concordia International Office’s databases and website by assuring their update; make revisions to existing pages and code, convert, and post to the Website documents and images.

Requirements

  • Diploma of College Studies (2 year pre-university program) in a field pertinent to the primary responsibilities and two to four years of related work experience in the international education field.
  • Good spoken and written English and French (Level 4) in order to communicate effectively in a variety of situations. Knowledge of a third language is an asset.
  • Good knowledge (Intermediate level) of Word (to produce very large and complex formal documents using a wide range of graphic effects and Macro commands), of Excel (to create and modify spreadsheets and charts) and of Outlook. Basic knowledge of PowerPoint. Good knowledge of web-based marketing/information systems is a definite asset.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to multitask and to work in a team.
  • Attention to client service.

Salary

$21.79 - $26.23 per hour
