Budget Planning and Control
Mandate
To assist the University's managers in planning, implementing and maintaining realistic operating budgets within the resources available, performing variance analysis with budgets and actuals, projections and forecasting activities, and position budgeting and control.
To support the University's mission of teaching, research and public service by providing timely, relevant and accurate budget information to the community in order to assess needs, evaluate past performances, and to identify problems and future opportunities.
To ensure that managers be responsible for their budgets through an environment of transparency, fiscal responsibility and accountability.
