Philippe Beauregard joined Concordia in January 2010 as Chief Communications Officer, reporting to the President.
He oversees the University Communications Services team in the areas of internal communications, media relations, marketing, and web services and development. Under his leadership, the team develops and implements strategies to advance Concordia’s research agenda, enhance its reputation within targeted stakeholders, and improve communications with staff, faculty and students, as well as alumni, the media and members of the community.
Before joining Concordia, he was Associate Vice-Rector, Communications at the Université de Montréal. Previously, Beauregard held a number of senior management positions, including Director, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs at CGI, an information technology and business process company, and Campaign Director at Ketchum Canada.
Beauregard has an MA from the University of St Andrews. He holds a number of volunteer positions, serving as a member of the Council of Trustees at Stanstead College, and a member of the boards of Les amis de la montagne and the Théâtre du Grand Jour.
